Nostalgiapicturesai first update

What’s New:

Nostalgiapicturesai started when I needed to restore old family photos. The results were so impressive that friends began asking me to restore theirs too—and that's when I realized this could help others preserve their precious memories.

3 weeks in and this has been a great journey, being the first product I build where I have had direct contact with the customer which has taught me the importance of talking to my users and how different they see the product from the way I do.

This is a short list of updates now available on the app.

• "Image reuse" - Save time with image reuse - restore or animate previous uploads without re-uploading or restored images.

• You can now animate images without having to restore them first.

  

• A video prompt helper using AI.

  Some users communicated that they were not getting good results when trying to create animations, in most cases this is due to lack of detail on the prompt.

  AI to the rescue, just type a brief description of what you like the animation to be and AI will spice it up with a little bit of detail, this showed great results during my tests, looking forward to know how you find this feature. from "make person move” it will rewrite something like “elderly man in 1950s suit slowly turning head and smiling warmly”

  

• And last change, When downloading restored images, you'll now get two versions: the original restoration and an upscaled version that uses AI to further refine facial features and details.

These changes will allow me to introduce other features requested such as:

• Placing 2 people in one image to then animate it.

• Basic image editing after restore, like -”make the hair red and add a outdoor background”

All in all this project is becoming something I did not expect and that excites me, I love getting messages of surprised users once they restore very old image or when they animate them.

Nostalgiapicturesai.com has been a great exploration project for myself while restoring very old pictures of my family.

I’m not sure where this is going but so far I’m loving it.
